Retirement & Employee Benefits Recruiter Job Description: As a 401(k) Compliance Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients' retirement plans adhere to all relevant compliance regulations. Your role will involve performing compliance testing, preparing necessary filings, and providing expert guidance to clients. Your extensive experience with ADP/ACP testing, top-heavy testing, IRC 415 limitations, cross-testing, and Form 5500 filings, along with proficiency in industry-standard software, will be critical to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Conduct annual ADP/ACP testing, top-heavy testing, and cross-testing for client 401(k) plans. Calculate and monitor IRC 415 contribution limits to ensure compliance. Prepare and review Form 5500 and associated schedules. Utilize ASC, Datair, Relius, or FT William software to perform compliance testing and generate reports. Provide expert advice to clients on corrective measures for failed compliance tests. Assist clients in understanding and meeting their fiduciary responsibilities. Stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends affecting retirement plan compliance. Prepare and review plan documents, amendments, and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) for compliance. Conduct plan audits and reviews to identify and resolve compliance issues. Communicate effectively with clients, plan sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of compliance requirements. Support and train junior staff on compliance processes and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in 401(k) plan compliance and administration. In-depth knowledge of ADP/ACP testing, top-heavy testing, IRC 415 limitations, and cross-testing. Experience with Form 5500 preparation and filing. Proficiency in ASC, Datair, Relius, or FT William software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and client service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work. Professional certifications such as QKA, QPA, or CPC are preferred.
