JOB SUMMARY:

The (AGM) Assistant General Manager is to assist General Manager (GM) to achieve the responsibility for all aspects of the operations, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales, and revenue generation. You will ensure implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations and increasing profit and market share. You will hold the property leadership team accountable for strategy execution, guiding professional development of the property team members. You will ensure sales engines are leveraged and build owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations, and delivering solid business results. You will be required to be active in the local community to build strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. As (AGM) Assistant General Manager you will lead and inspire each team member to provide an exceptional guest experience.
  2. No matter whether a guest arrives weary from their travels or excited for a vacation, you and your team know what to do to make them feel at home, they will appreciate the sparkling lobby, a warm welcome, and a pristine guest room.
  3. Operating at a high level of excellence will ensure each guest will know you genuinely care about the quality of their stay, creating a customer for life.
  4. Be responsible for all aspects of hotel operations, day-to-day staff management, and guests. Communicate clear and consistent messages regarding processes throughout all departments. Oversee and manage all departments and work closely with department heads daily.
  5. Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards. Handle guest complaints and oversee the service recovery process. Ensure all decisions are in the best interests of the hotel and the ownership company.
  6. Need to understand the P&L statements and have the ability to react with impactful strategies. Meet all report deadlines daily, weekly, and at month's end.
  7. Work closely with the Revenue Management and Sales & Marketing Manager to maximize room yield and hotel revenue.
  8. Be responsible for Room Maintenance, Preventive maintenance, pool maintenance and guest safety.
  9. Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others, leading by example.
  10. Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members!
  11. Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors!
  12. Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, standards, and meet the expectations of customers on a daily basis.
  13. Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge and skills.
  14. Speak with others using clear and professional language, being direct, yet tactful.
  15. Must be available on days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  16. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Director of Operations
