As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. A key priority includes assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Under the Store Manager's guidance, you will also maintain inventories, store appearance, and complete daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers in a positive, approachable manner. Answers questions and resolves inquiries and concerns.


• Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.


• Ensures a clean, well-stocked store for customers.


• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Family Dollar practices and procedures, under the Store Manager's direction.


• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.


• Helps in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.


• Supports loss prevention efforts.


• Assumes certain management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.


• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.


• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug stores preferred.


• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.


• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, job knowledge, and relationship management.
