Summary : The Associate Director, Patient Marketing - EXPAREL, is responsible for developing and executing patient-focused marketing strategies. This involves collaboration across teams to define the commercial vision, with a focus on patient education, engagement, and advocacy. The role requires developing strategic and annual marketing plans to increase patient awareness and business success, with strong communication and analytical skills for regular engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the patient market and brand expert, leading patient-centric marketing campaigns and engagement initiatives.
  • Align strategies with global brand goals to achieve growth and market share targets.
  • Develop and distribute assets and campaigns that resonate with patients.
  • Identify opportunities for patient education and engagement in collaboration with Medical Education.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders, advocacy groups, and patient communities.
  • Support patient advocacy and ambassador programs.
  • Analyze patient insights, brand perception, and market landscape to inform strategies.
  • Share market intelligence and coach teams on patient needs and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to create relevant patient-focused content.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and data analysis on engagement and marketing effectiveness.
  • Oversee participation in patient advocacy events and industry conferences.
Supervisory Responsibilities : Yes Interaction : Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Medical Education, Medical Affairs, Learning & Development, and external partners. Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree, MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or Orthopedics marketing.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of spine and growth-oriented strategic thinking.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, project management, and financial skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%.
Physical Demands : Ability to work in healthcare environments, including hospitals and surgical centers, and to travel by automobile and airplane as needed. Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and more. Pay Range : $155,000 - $213,000/year in San Francisco, CA, based on experience and other factors.
