Position Summary:

The BIM Manager leads the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of BIM deliverables under a federal contract. This role is responsible for enforcing standards, coordinating model integration, and managing technical execution across Revit, CAD, and GIS systems. The BIM Manager will also serve as Acting Contract Manager if needed.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a BIM Manager to lead the execution and oversight of BIM deliverables under a high-impact federal contract. This role is essential in enforcing technical standards, managing interdisciplinary coordination, and ensuring the quality and consistency of Revit, CAD, and GIS deliverables. The BIM Manager will also serve as Acting Contract Manager when required, playing a key leadership role in technical and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and enforce compliance with federal and internal BIM standards.

Oversee 3D Revit model development, quality control reviews, and data integration workflows.

Manage and maintain the Revit Families Library, perform clash detection, and coordinate document control procedures.

Collaborate with engineering, GIS, and government teams to ensure effective BIM coordination and alignment.

Deliver monthly demonstrations, client-facing reports, and internal staff training sessions.

Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and drive process improvement initiatives.

Serve as the technical lead and backup to the Contract Manager, ensuring continuity and leadership as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:

  • 8+ years of experience managing Revit-based BIM projects and CAD integrations in the AEC or facilities domain.
  • 3+ years in a leadership or management role on a federal contract or within a regulated government environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency with:
    • Autodesk Revit (modeling, family creation)
    • AutoCAD (2D integration)
    • BIM-to-GIS tools and workflows
  • Strong background in QA/QC, BIM standards enforcement, and digital workflow optimization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Must meet OPM basic qualification standards for the 0800 Engineering Series.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
