Overview

MediaDC and its associated companies are seeking a Digital Compliance Manager to oversee our compliance efforts, ensuring our portfolio of companies and their websites meet all regulatory, industry, and corporate standards. The ideal candidate thrives on identifying risks, building strong cross-functional partnerships, and transforming compliance into practical, scalable solutions.

This role involves more than policies; its about driving impact by providing guidance, designing controls, and fostering trust to make compliance seamless.

You will safeguard compliance across websites, accessibility, and digital communication. Working under the management of the corporate CISO and partnering with our teams, youll simplify processes to ensure our online presence aligns with privacy laws, accessibility, and other standards, mitigating risks related to data privacy and security. Your expertise will strengthen our governance framework and minimize exposure to violations, breaches, and litigation.

Responsibilities

  1. Compliance Leadership & Risk Management
  • Develop compliance strategies, systems, processes, and controls aligned with company growth.
  • Translate regulatory complexity into actionable guidance for cross-functional teams.
  • Integrate compliance into digital and business operations effectively.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics for continuous improvement and audits.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Oversee internal controls to meet compliance while supporting agility.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Legal, IT, Marketing, Editorial teams.
  • Address audit findings with scalable solutions.
  • Domestic travel may be required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Champion Digital Compliance and Accessibility
  • Implement and promote enterprise privacy standards, focusing on data governance, notice, consent, and privacy management.
  • Ensure adherence to GDPR, CCPA, ADA, WCAG, and other standards across all digital properties.
  • Maintain an inventory of digital assets and monitor compliance.
  • Manage consent management platforms like OneTrust.
  • Perform audits to identify compliance gaps, including media operations and copyright adherence.
  • Review contracts for data privacy compliance.
  • Collaborate with technical and editorial teams to ensure compliance and innovation.
  • Maintain documentation and training to empower teams.
  • Work across departments to ensure compliant digital experiences.
  • Educate, Elevate & Stay Ahead
  • Design and deliver compliance training.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices, adjusting programs proactively.
  • Participate in policy and legal discussions.
  • Address compliance inquiries confidently.
  • Present findings to leadership to shape strategy.
  • Ensure vendors and third parties meet compliance standards.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years in compliance, digital risk, or related fields with a focus on web/digital.
  • Operational experience with cross-functional solutions.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, ADA, WCAG standards.
  • Ability to create policies and procedures.
  • Experience auditing digital assets and contracts.
  • Managing consent tools like OneTrust.
  • Ability to translate legal requirements into practice.
  • Effective collaboration with legal, IT, marketing, editorial teams.
  • Proven skills in training, documentation, and scalable processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in media or digital publishing.
  • Knowledge of digital compliance issues related to media, advertising, PII, and copyright.
  • Familiarity with OneTrust modules.
  • Experience working with legal counsel on compliance operations.
  • Certifications like CCEP or CIPPO.

Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000 per year. Benefits include PTO, insurance, 401(k), and more.
