Position Overview

Our client, SIAD Americas, is seeking a Process Plant Electrical Designer experience with medium and high voltage systems and power distribution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems and schematics in compliance with industry standards. This position will work closely with lead electrical engineer, project engineering manager and other design disciplines to develop and execute reliable, safe and efficient designs. Position may be assigned to multiple projects at various stages. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely execution of design packages deliverables to ensure compliance to defined project scope and contractual requirements. Position ensures and maintains applicable quality standards and industry standards.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties

• Design and develop electrical systems and schematics for process gas plants.
• Experience with ASU, LNG, and CO₂ equipment is desirable but not necessary.
• Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and plant layouts using 2D/3D CAD software and EPLAN
• Review equipment supplier drawings and provide comments. Work with civil, mechanical and instrumentation groups to coordinate design interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards (IEC, NEC, NFPA), and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize designs for performance, cost, and constructability.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and calibration of instrumentation systems.
• Oversee, assign work and mentor less experienced designers

Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)

• 7+ years of experience in electrical design using 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
• Associates degree electrical technology / electrical design or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel, including internationally for short-term assignments, as needed.

• Long term contract role – 1 year with likelihood to be extended or converted to direct hire.
