Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking an Elementary School Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at an independent school in Aliso Viejo, CA.

Elementary Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

• Teach several Spanish courses for K-5 students.
• Craft lesson plans that align with established curriculum standards.
• Desire to contribute to curriculum development and supporting the school’s academic advancement.
• Lead engaging Spanish conversational classes focused on pronunciation, essential vocabulary, and practical language use.
• Cultivate an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student development and addresses diverse learning needs.
• Research and implement effective teaching strategies, including innovative materials and language games to enhance student learning.
• Integrate educational technology into daily instruction to enhance student engagement, personalize learning, and support academic achievement.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
• Organizing feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Elementary Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred.
• At least 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience, preferably with elementary school students.
• Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) preferred.
• Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
• Passion for foreign language education.
• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
