Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher working onsite at an elementary school in Winsted, CT. The position is contract-based for the current school year, providing a meaningful role supporting the academic and developmental needs of students requiring specialized educational services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and adapt teaching strategies
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in meetings with parents and educational teams
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working in elementary school settings preferred
• Strong understanding of special education laws, instructional techniques, and classroom management
