Job Description

One of our Global Infrastructure clients that provides professional services throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, design, engineering, consulting, and construction management is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to be onsite and support a large biopharmaceutical manufacturing and research organization in Summit, NJ. This individual will be providing EHS oversight and compliance within their Laboratory, Manufacturing and Operations team. Training is provided for this role and this team provides a lot of opportunity for growth! Other responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and recommending practical, science-based safety improvements.
  • Work as a team to conduct EHS risk assessments in Manufacturing, QC, Laboratory, and other operational areas of the site.
  • Review tasks, assess & rank risks (using provided risk ranking matrix), and recommend mitigation strategies and actions.
  • Adhering to GMP and FDA standards
  • Ensuring thorough documentation and reporting for compliance and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including EHS, QC and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years conducting EHS risk assessments or EHS evaluations
  • 2+ years of EHS experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences or a related regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety, biosafety and chemical safety preferred

Pay: $40.00-$50.00/hr (flexible based on experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Duration: 6 month-long contract with a high likelihood of extension and possible permanent hire

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
