Visit our website at We are looking for a Forklift Operator to support our Newark, Ohio distribution facility. No experience necessary - will train! Job Purpose Forklift Operators operate industrial lifts and industrial in-loaders equipped to move materials around the work area. This position will assist in packaging the finished product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material. Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery. Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles. Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas. Perform inspection of forklift equipment. Mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles. Utilizes a scanner device to track and ship products. Education, Knowledge, and Skills: High School/GED preferred, not required. Basic ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, using the English language. Bi-lingual a plus. Forklift experience is a plus, but all employees will be trained. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Work Environment: Exposure to noise, fumes, and dust, while in manufacturing facilities. Physical Demands: This position frequently lifts heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively lifts and carries heavy loads. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand and arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. It also requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Seeing with the ability to read reports, data, statistics and information on computer screens are required.
