Game Rant is looking for eager and talented Freelance Video Game Features Staff Writers to join their team.

As a Features Staff Writer ,  prospective applicants will assist with covering the biggest topics in the video game industry, editorializing important details about the most popular games, and diving deep into a variety of video game communities. If you share a passion for video games, a love of writing, and a willingness to learn then please apply!

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for contributors who can:

• Expand coverage of gaming related topics
• Help to generate news topics based on site needs.
• Self-edit and publish articles with careful attention paid to SEO best practices ( approximately 50 articles a month )
• Pay high attention to detail for spelling, grammar, image quality, fact-checking and sourcing
• If hired, our websites use Emaki to submit all articles. (Training will be provided)                      
• Never pull details from a secondary source; research needs to be cited directly from the original, primary source where available.                                                                                              
• As our websites are meant to be an authority, writers should not write in the first person (e.g., Avoid “I think,” “my suggestion is,” “I love this…,” etc)”

Please familiarize yourself with the site; see which articles are trending. This will give you the best idea of the topics that interest our readers the most.

• Ability to source information/news from different websites.
• Broad knowledge of gaming history and culture.

• Experience in SEO practices.
• A solid grasp of the English language and the ability to communicate niche ideas to a wide audience.
