IP Litigation - Mid-Level Associate Attorney

LOCATIONS: San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA | Washington, DC

An AmLaw 50 national law firm is seeking Associate Attorneys to join their IP Litigation Group  in San Francisco , Los Angeles , or Washington, DC. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take their career in IP litigation to the next level.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation .
• A Technical background is  strongly preferred .
• Undergraduate Degree: Computer Science or Electrical Engineering  degree  preferred .
• Strong experience handling  all phases of IP litigation , including pre-suit investigations, discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
• Soft Skills: Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively or independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex  IP litigation  matters  from inception through trial and appeal , including patent and technology-related disputes.
• Analyze technical documentation ,  scientific data , and  patent claims to support litigation strategy and expert development.
• Advise leading technology and life sciences companies on  IP enforcement ,  defense strategies , and  risk management .
• Appear in federal district courts ,  appellate courts , and before  administrative bodies such as the  PTAB .
• Work closely with partners, clients, and technical experts to develop innovative legal strategies and achieve litigation goals.

• Competitive compensation : Includes an annual salary range of $310,000-$420,000 , commensurate with experience, along with a generous  bonus  structure.
