Salary: Up to $160,000 CAD Base (+Bonus)

Skills/Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or STEM based subjects from a top university.
• 1-5 years experience as a Junior Software Engineer (Python or C++).
• Proficiency in modern software development practices, including version control and agile development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and information sharing.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for ongoing learning and a proactive attitude towards adopting new technologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable, and high-pressure environment, delivering results efficiently.

Role:

• Design, implement, and optimize trading algorithms, order execution systems, and real-time data processing tools to support front office trading strategies.
• Work closely with traders and quant teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and enhance the trading platform’s functionality and performance.
• Focus on improving system performance, minimizing latency, and ensuring high availability of trading systems, with a strong emphasis on efficient coding practices.
• Conduct performance analysis and tuning of critical software components.
