Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The ideal candidate will be an instructional leader and collaborative problem-solver who supports school-wide academic success and student well-being. The Assistant Principal will work alongside the principal to cultivate a positive school culture, ensure instructional quality, and maintain efficient school operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support the Principal in implementing the school’s mission, vision, and goals.
· Assist in supervising and coaching teachers to improve instruction and student learning.
· Help plan and lead professional development and teacher collaboration initiatives.
· Monitor student progress and participate in data-driven decision-making.
· Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture and maintain effective discipline systems.
· Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student behavior and well-being.
· Assist with school operations including scheduling, safety drills, and staff assignments.
· Support school-wide initiatives, testing coordination, and special programs.
· Serve as a liaison between administration, teachers, students, and parents.
· Uphold and help enforce school policies and state education requirements.

Instructional Support:
o Understanding of curriculum, assessment, and classroom best practices.
o Ability to coach and mentor teachers for continuous improvement.
Leadership:
o Strong decision-making and organizational skills.
o Collaborative mindset and a commitment to shared leadership.
Student Support and Discipline:
o Experience with behavior management systems.
o Ability to build relationships with students and support social-emotional growth.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
o Clear, effective verbal and written communication.
o Skilled in conflict resolution and parent engagement.
Equity and Inclusion:
o Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and inclusive school practices.
o Promotes respect, responsibility, and fairness in school culture.
Technology Competency:
o Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, student information systems, and digital communication platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS· Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related field (preferred).
· Valid Florida Educator Certificate and eligibility for Administrative Certification (required or in progress).
· Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience (K–8 preferred).
· Experience in a leadership or coordinator role (grade-level lead, instructional coach, etc.) is a plus.
· Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Dedication to student success and teacher growth.
· Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
· Adherence to the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary and benefits will be provided in accordance with the School’s established compensation and benefits policies. The work year and hours of employment will be determined by ENCCS guidelines.
FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY
Job is non-exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Eagles’ Nest Community Charter Schools’ policy.
