POSITION SUMMARY:

Dauphin Island Beach Rentals is seeking a skilled and dedicated Linen Services professional to join our team in Dauphin Island, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, and attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for professionally washing, drying, sorting, folding, labeling, and organizing our company's laundry items, ensuring that supplies are prepared promptly for pick-up. You will also operate commercial washers and dryers in our laundry facility, utilizing the necessary tools, chemicals, and products to clean to company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Professionally wash and dry laundry items, such as linen, terry, blankets, bedspreads, etc.
  • Sort, fold, label, and organize DIBR's laundry items
  • Ensure supplies are prepared in a timely manner for pick-up
  • Responsible for picking up and dropping off supplies (as-needed basis)
  • Properly utilize the necessary tools, chemicals, and products to clean to company standards
  • Observe and report any damage or potential hazards
  • Operate commercial washers and dryers in the laundry facility
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members and management team
  • Assist with inspections when needed.
  • Could be Other tasks - because every day looks different in hospitality!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Some previous commercial laundry experience preferred.
  • Previous background from the short term rental industry preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.
  • Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
  • Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
  • Will be required to work mornings, evening, weekends, and holidays.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Compensation range: $15 - $16 an hour based on experience
