Gillick Legal, APC is a boutique litigation firm focused on business disputes, corporate defense, and select criminal matters. We are seeking a part-time paralegal to join our growing team. This is an in-office position located in the Old Town area of San Diego. It’s an ideal opportunity for a skilled and organized professional looking to contribute meaningfully to active cases in a flexible, supportive environment.

Position details:

• Location: Old Town, San Diego (in-office only)
• Hours: 12–16 hours per week (ideally over 2 full workdays)
• Pay: $30/hour

Responsibilities include:

• Filing and e-filing documents in California state and federal courts (experience with San Diego and Southern District of California preferred)
• Assisting with service of process and calendaring deadlines
• Drafting and formatting legal documents, including discovery, pleadings, and correspondence
• Organizing case files, exhibits, and document productions
• Providing general administrative and litigation support

Ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience as a paralegal or formal paralegal training/certification
• Familiarity with California Rules of Court and local court filing systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and general document management
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently

Bonus points for:

• Experience in business litigation or criminal law support
• Familiarity with legal calendaring tools or case management software
