WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Milford, CT.

Job Function:

• Day Shift.
• 7am - 5pm.

• Maintain a proper sterile field during surgical procedures.

• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operations, documenting according to policy.

• Prepare patients for surgery as requested.

• Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, and anesthesiologists as needed.

• Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association preferred.
• 2 years of experience working as a certified Surgical Technologist in an OR setting.
