Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery
Dracut, MA

Direct Hire / Monday-Friday / Home Daily / Full Benefits

Due to continued growth, we are hiring Local Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery in Dracut, MA.

Compensation

• Starting salary is $80,000 per year.
• Annual reviews, potential pay increases based on performance.
• Pallet return bonus, approximately $150 per week, potential.
• Annual Holiday and Safety bonuses, based on performance.
• Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week.
• Weekly paychecks.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, no weekends.
• Start times vary, typically between 4am-7am, work until work is completed.
• Home daily, no overnights.
• Average 8-10 stops per day.
• One week of paid training, all expenses paid, required in Rome, NY.
• Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule and/or customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Drive day cab with 53' dry van trailer to transport to specific route destinations.
• Deliver hardware supplies using day cab and 53' dry van.
• Driver loading and unloading using pallet jack, forklift and/or hand cart.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle.
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, with air brakes endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical
• Minimum 3 years of CDL A tractor-trailer delivery experience.
• Drive automatic day cab with 53' dry van semi-trailer. No automatic restrictions.
• Hazmat preferred. Must be willing to obtain upon hire.
• Experience delivering local, multiple-stop freight using pallet jack and/or hand cart.
• Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
• Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Be able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
