Our client, a construction firm, specializing in commercial and industrial construction is looking for a Master Carpenter to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled carpentry work on commercial and industrial construction sites
• Install wall assemblies, doors and hardware, glazing units, cabinetry, flooring, fireproofing, sheet metal and other finishings
• Work independently and/or with a crew of 2-4 people
• Travel to various jobs sites within GTA (Mississauga, Brampton, Newmarket, Ajax)
• 60% work indoors, 40% work outdoors
• Attend meetings, and collaborate with other departments
• Strict adherence to health and safety guidelines and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:  

• 15 years of experience as a Carpenter
• 10 years of experience in commercial construction
• Advanced knowledge of building systems, & installation techniques in wall assemblies
• Physically fit and capable of standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
• Worker Awareness, Working at Heights, WHMIS & Aerial Platform Certifications
• Clean Criminal Background Check required
• Valid Driver's License & Clean Driver's Abstract
• Must have own tools
• Must have own vehicle to travel to job sites
• Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
• Steel-toed boots and hard hat required

• Proactive and self-motivated individual
• Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills
• Experience working in Food & Beverage facilities (asset)
• Millwright experience (asset)
• Skilled Trades Certificate (asset)
• Forklift License (asset)

  Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 3:00pm (work on weekends as needed)
• Salary: Based on experience (reach out for more information)
