Heartland Cardiology is in need of a Medical Assistant to join our team at Heartland Cardiology in Wichita, KS. No Experience needed as we are willing to train the right applicant. Responsibilities and Duties: Answer phones, greet patients and visitors, coordinate clinic appointments and visits, and provide a variety of clinical and clerical services. Perform patient care activities according to established guidelines, under the direction of the Clinical Operations Manager. Assist with scheduling of TeleMed or Doxyme appointments and provide patient instruction. Assist Clinic physician and/or physician's staff with any procedures (i.e., vital signs, weight, positioning, disrobing, etc.). Review current medications with patient and document in computer. Communicate any physician delays to patient and monitor patient until physician enters exam room. Perform EKG on patients as ordered by physician. Obtain and document patient information as per clinic physician's protocol. Know physician schedules to organize appointments and issue appropriate memos regarding physician visits. Keep clinic staff informed of pertinent information regarding patients. Make referrals for providers as requested, with help and guidance from the provider's nurse. Provide proper documentation of referrals. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant certification.
