Job Title: Office Manager
Location: St. Louis, MO (Must Be Local to St. Louis)
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: This position offers a highly sought-after four-day work schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM CT
- Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM CT
- Occasional Fridays or after-hours may be required to meet the needs of the organization
A respected endodontic practice in St. Louis is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and people-minded Office Manager with prior experience in the dental industry to lead daily operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, brings financial and administrative expertise within the dental industry, and enjoys mentoring a small but dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Operations Management
- Oversee patient scheduling to ensure a smooth daily workflow across clinical and administrative teams
- Support staff with insurance verification for new and existing patients
- Maintain strong relationships with referring offices, imaging centers, and other industry partners
- Assist in other office duties as needed, including supply management, vendor coordination, and patient communications
Financial Oversight
- Manage billing and collections processes
- Run and review aging reports regularly to track outstanding balances and support collection efforts
- Set up KPIs for aging and collection goals in conjunction with the practice owner
Team Leadership & Support
- Serve as a mentor and resource to the operations team of 8
- Foster a culture of commitment, communication, and patient-centered care
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to ensure team cohesion and operational excellence
Payroll Administration
- Manage weekly and biweekly payroll for 8-10 employees
- Support the integration of benefits, such as 401(k) plans, and ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in dental office management required with prior background in dental operations (billing, front desk, insurance, or similar background)
- Strong understanding of billing, collections, and insurance workflows
- Comfortable with payroll systems and basic financial reporting
- Excellent communicator and team builder
- Able to take initiative and solve problems independently
- Familiarity with dental software systems is a plus
