Colemans Flooring, a respected and growing flooring company located at 9389 N Clinton St in Fort Wayne, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and support our team and customers with professionalism and efficiency.

Position Overview

The Office Manager will play a critical role in coordinating administrative functions, managing customer communication, and supporting scheduling and material logistics. This position requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic retail and installation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily office operations and administrative processes
  • Coordinate installation schedules with crews and customers
  • Order and track flooring materials from suppliers and vendors
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payments, and project status
  • Handle basic bookkeeping, invoicing, and payment processing.
  • Provide administrative support to sales staff and assist with documentation and follow-up
  • Maintain showroom organization and ensure a welcoming customer environment
  • Serve as a point of contact for both internal staff and external customers

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in office management or administrative support (experience in construction or retail settings is a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and professional demeanor
  • High school diploma required; additional education or training preferred
