Job Title: Picker and Packer
Job Description

As a Picker and Packer, you will be responsible for scanning location and pallet license plates using scanner and voice equipment to pick products according to the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role involves picking items from various floors using specialized equipment, palletizing, and wrapping picked items, organizing and replenishing racks by moving pallets, and ensuring cleanliness before and after work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedules.
• Unload goods, materials, or cargo from vehicles, such as trucks or containers, onto the floor or designated storage area.
• Move freight to designated warehouse locations.
• Store unloaded pallets to designated locations using a scanner connected to WMS.
• Classify products, including frozen, refrigerated, and dry products.
• Merge multiple pallets into a pallet having the same products.
• Transfer same-day shipping pallets to the loading dock according to instructions.
• Organize and clear locations by moving pallets.
• Wrap and store unloaded pallets.
• Unload containers sequentially as directed, using a conveyor belt and wrapping turntable.
• Move palletized and wrapped pallets to designated locations.
• Attach pallet license plates to wrapped pallets before storage.
• Clean containers and surroundings after unloading is completed.
• Load prepared pallets to trucks as instructed.
• Merge multiple pallets for the same destination before unloading.
• Operate equipment to move and unload pallets (High Row, Electric Jacks).

Essential Skills

• Experience in picking, packing, and inventory management.
• Proficiency with RF scanners.
• Flexibility with work schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work in cold environments such as fridges and freezers.
• Must wear steel toe boots and appropriate layered clothing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
