Process Engineer | Mattawan, MI

Salary Range: $72,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs, flowcharts, and P&IDs.
• Monitor process performance using statistical analysis and implement data-driven improvements.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, OEE).
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with process simulation, data analysis software, and CAD tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety standards and quality systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automation and control systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R, Python).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Familiarity with CAD or process simulation software.
