As a Security Professional - Defense Patrol in Sykesville, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and contractors. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional presence at the front desk. You will help to deter security-related incidents by remaining attentive and approachable, responding promptly to inquiries, and communicating clearly with all individuals entering the facility. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures.
• Support a secure environment by observing and reporting any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns at the front desk area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
