As a Senior Data Governance Analyst on McKesson’s Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team, you will play a critical role in operationalizing consistent, scalable, and enterprise-aligned governance practices across our data ecosystem. You’ll ensure metadata quality, drive adoption of governance platforms, support data product oversight, and provide measurable business value through strong collaboration with data owners, stewards, engineers, and business leaders. This role blends technical data acumen with execution rigor—supporting metadata and data quality tooling, catalog enablement, and governance operationalization at enterprise scale. Key Responsibilities include Metadata & Data Quality Enablement, Glossary & Stewardship Operations, Data Product Governance, Enterprise Data Catalog Adoption, Scorecards, Dashboards & Value Realization, and Governance Enablement & Communications. Education/Certifications required include a Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field, with preferred certifications in Data Governance, Data Quality, or Metadata Management. Minimum Requirements include 7+ years of experience in enterprise data management, governance, or metadata operations, expertise with enterprise data catalog tools (preferably Alation), and proficiency in SQL and data querying. Preferred skills include experience supporting data product governance, familiarity with data quality tools, exposure to BI tools, and understanding of data privacy and compliance frameworks. This role is high-impact and central to McKesson’s enterprise data strategy, contributing directly to efficiency, compliance, and business value realization.
