Sr. Technical Program Manager, Future of Curation

Pinterest Technical Program Managers deliver critical & strategic outcomes by directing and scaling engineering efforts across organizational and functional boundaries.

In this role, you'll drive revisitation—empowering users to make progress in their inspiration action journeys by resurfacing their boards and saves, helping them pick up where they left off, and building on previously saved ideas to inspire new opportunities. You'll partner with teams across the company and think strategically about opportunities to drive visitation, engagement, retention, and revenue across surfaces.

This is a critical pillar of our Curation strategy and an opportunity to drive meaningful top-line impact for Pinners and Pinterest.

Pinterest is looking for an experienced and motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager to drive the future of Curation. Key questions you'll tackle in partnership with Engineering, Product, and Design include:

  1. How might we evolve Boards to accelerate Pinners' inspiration journeys so they can find what they're looking for faster?
  2. How might we build better signals and models specific to helping Pinners in their Curation journeys?
  3. What is the next horizon for Boards?

Pinners love Pinterest because it provides a way to express themselves through Curation, but there is untapped potential in the Curation ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in shaping Pinterest's Curation strategy and driving top-line impact.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively identify and drive key strategic programs and workstreams
  • Translate strategic ideas into execution plans and be accountable for their completion
  • Drive complex technical decisions across multiple teams
  • Influence your cross-functional stakeholders by shaping the product roadmap during planning
  • Work with engineering, product, design, data analytics, and marketing to turn opportunities into outcomes
  • Define new processes to streamline collaboration
  • Build relationships and influence teams across disciplines
  • Establish transparent communication channels about schedules, priorities, status, and risks

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical program manager or related role
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with leadership skills to develop initiatives from scratch in ambiguous environments
  • Passion for execution and process streamlining
  • Strong technical background, with ability to understand designs, challenges, and risks
  • Analytical skills to monitor metrics, identify growth opportunities, and manage incidents
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders
  • Experience creating efficient processes at scale
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities
