Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple client tax engagements, delivering accurate and timely results.
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and identify savings opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with IRS and state regulations while managing risk.
- Represent clients in IRS and state audits, providing expert guidance and resolution strategies.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior tax staff to support professional growth and performance excellence.
- Maintain and enhance tax policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and industry trends to keep clients informed and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) designation required.
- Proven experience preparing, reviewing, and filing complex tax returns and extensions.
- Strong background in representing clients before the IRS and state tax authorities.
- Prior experience in a public accounting firm is required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship management skills.
