Job Description

Our client, in Monroe, MI, is seeking a Temporary HR Assistant to join their team. As a Temporary HR Assistant, you will be part of the Human Resources Department supporting the payroll and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Temporary HR Assistant

Location: Monroe, MI

Pay Range: $20 – $25/hour (based on experience and payroll expertise)

Shift: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM

What's the Job?

• Accurately process payroll with a high level of precision and confidentiality.
• Support the transition to the UKG platform for payroll processing.
• Organize and manage annual drug screening and background check processes for employees.
• Assist with planning and coordination of holiday charity initiatives.
• Contribute to the monthly newsletter, potentially using Canva for design and layout.

What's Needed?

• Several years of hands-on payroll processing and administrative experience required.
• Experience with UKG or similar payroll systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
