Internship Title: Visual Merchandising Intern, Latin America

Company: Parfums Christian Dior

Location: Internship based in Miami, FL

Full-time internship: 40 hours a week.

PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP:

The Visual Merchandising Intern supports Regional Merchandising team in the development of event design and visual merchandising projects for store openings and maintenance of B&M spaces. Assist in maintaining a consistent and highly qualitative execution of the brand VM strategy for the LATAM Region, respecting the guidelines, strategy and timing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main missions of this role will be:

VM GUIDELINES

• Help to update online platforms (Dior Latina) with VM guidelines and technical drawings already customized for the LATAM region
• Help to align and produce additional planograms needed to support the VM execution at the Point of Sale (POS)

MERCHANDISING TOOLS

• Assist on creation of Setup Installation Guides for new installations.
• Help to update the communication of VM guidelines and POS material sent to the region, work in coordination with Visual Merchandising Analyst to update the Merchbook and assure proper delivery of the information to the market for a proper implementation at POS

VISUALS AND VIDEOS

• Order all visual and video material needed in the region based on the marketing plan and in coordination with Regional Visual Merchandiser Manager and VM Analyst.
• Assist on color-proof all visuals with all suppliers.
• Help to ensure all distributors and retailers receive and install materials on time at POS

VM DATABASE AND UPDATES

• Support VM Analyst on updates of POS Masterfile, updating all relevant information when new project or merchandising changes occur
• Follow up with Area Managers and Brand Managers after-market visits on visual merchandising updates and improvements needed.
• Request/Upload pictures of the new counter’s installations or other specific projects if needed.

PRODUCTION

• Operational and logistics support of Regional VM team on the communication with vendors to follow up in the production and delivery of VM elements.
• Assist VM Regional team on the source and delivery of sample materials to the different markets.

VISUAL MERCHANDISING / TRADE MARKETING

• Help to update 360 execution guidelines with VM material after reviewing the strategy with VM and product teams.
• Pre-Design: Assist w/photomontages, renders, 3d proposals when needed.
• Implementation: Assist in the process when local production is needed, and the corresponded approval is required.
• Assist in Prototype Development & Merchandising Displays. Coordinate with suppliers on materials/details

Collaborate in the Monthly report with the best pictures obtained from the activations in the region

PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/Design
• Interest in Retail Design and Project Management
• Proficient in Sketchup, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel (AutoCAD and Displayer are a plus)
• A Detailed oriented & creative problem solver
• Very strong Organization & Communication skills
• An Innovative thinker with an eagerness to learn.
• Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Adobe PhotoSuite
• Strong Operational skills
• Speaks fluently English and Spanish (French and/or Portuguese can be a plus)
