Job Description
A wire rope rigger is responsible for assembling, inspecting, wire rope rigging systems used in lifting, hoisting, and securing heavy loads in the construction and manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities:
Attach fittings such as hooks, thimbles and swage sleeves to wire rope assemblies.
Inspect wire ropes for wear, damage and compliance with safety regulations.
Operate rigging equipment such as forklifts, presses, hoists and chop saws.
Experience in rigging, lifting and wire rope fabrication helpful but willing to train.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements for rigging operations.
Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy loads. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
