Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a metal fabrication shop specializing in creating metal roofing and siding for large buildings. As a key part of our production team, you will be involved in the creation and packaging of metal roofs and trim, ensuring quality and precision in every product.

Responsibilities

• Load and pack metal roofing and siding products.
• Bring in raw materials and oversee the finishing process.
• Bundle and wrap products using cardboard and other materials.
• Palletize orders using a banding gun and secure products with straps.
• Perform repetitive tasks including bending and lifting to wrap products.
• Ensure products are protected from scratches during packaging.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• 1 year of recent physical labor experience.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Experience with manufacturing, safety practices, and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with wrapping or loading large parts (no forklift).
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with using hand tools.

Work Environment

Work in a bustling metal fabrication shop that is not temperature controlled. The company is committed to training entry-level candidates and fostering a culture of learning and development. The standard shift is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional opportunities for additional work on Saturdays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
