Overview

SimpleClosure is seeking a junior frontend software developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will combine technology and design to create amazing features and new products that are critical to the service that we offer to our clients. This role is perfect for someone who is very well organized, meticulous, creative, scrappy (with startup experience), resourceful, and adapts quickly. This position reports to the CTO.

Responsibilities

• Working with product, design, and internal/external clients to develop the overall look and design of our platform
• Translating product requirements into pull requests
• Working alongside your teammates develop and review each others contribution
• Ensuring sites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones
• Routinely testing functionality for ease of use, speed and other quality factors
• Fixing any issues or bugs that arise on a continuous basis

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years writing code and shipping features - startup experience preferred.
• Stack: React/TS a must. NextJS or similar framework preferred.
• Ownership: Takes responsibility of all aspects of a project, start-to-end. Identifies bottlenecks and works proactively to resolve any blockers.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
• Resourcefulness: Proactive problem-solver who can think on their feet.
• Collaboration: Strong team player who thrives on cross-functional partnerships.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
